The typical American home is around 2,600 square feet, whereas the typical small or tiny house is between 100 and 400 square feet. – The TinyLife In the span of a few decades, we Americans have traded in our penchant for ridiculously oversized, overpriced McMansions (too much room for even the Waltons or the Brady Bunch) for tiny houses.
